Tree Thrift Shop
The Green Tree Community
Health Foundation has a group of fun, cheerful and committed volunteers
that run the Green Tree Thrift Shop. We are looking for a few
good volunteers that are willing to help out at the shop. Which
sells used clothing (adults and children); household items; knick-knacks;
kitchen items; jewelry, etc…Proceeds from the shop go directly
towards grant making for the Foundation. The shop operates solely
on volunteer efforts.
Location & Hours
Green Tree Thrift Shop
is located at 8811 Germantown Avenue (rear). Located behind the
Women's Center on the property of Chestnut Hill Hospital. The
shop is open for business Tuesday's from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Phone:

Donations are accepted
preferably on Tuesday's. No books, please.

From Nicetown:
Take North Broad Street (PA-611) toward Germantown Avenue. Turn
Left onto West Pike Street (0.1 mi). Turn Right onto Germantown
Avenue (5.7 mi). Green Tree Thrift Shop will be on your right
hand side (behind the Women's Center, located next to the hospital).
From Montgomeryville/North
Wales: Start out going on Southeast on Bethlehem Pike (PA-309)
toward Garden Golf Blvd. Bear Right onto Fort Washington Expressway
(PA-309) South (0.3mi). Stay straight to on onto Fort Washington
Expressway (PA-309) S. continue to follow PA-309 S (7.1mi). Take
the Paper Mill Road exit toward Springfield. Take the ramp toward
Chestnut Hill College/Erdenheim, turning right onto Paper Mill
Road (1.4mi). Turn Left onto Bethlehem Pike (0.7mi). Turn right
onto Germantown Avenue (0.2mi). Green Tree Thrift Shop will be
on your right hand side (behind the Women's Center, located next
to the hospital).
From Norristown:
Start out going Southeast on West Main Street toward Markley Street
(US-202S) (1.4mi). West Main Street becomes East Ridge Pike (4.3mi).
Turn Left onto Church Road (0.3mi). Turn Right onto Germantown
Pike (1.1mi). Germantown Pike becomes Germantown Avenue (1.2mi).
Green Tree Thrift Shop will be on your left hand side just past
the hospital behind the Women's Center).
Monkey Business (Consignment Shop)
Monkey Business has
been part of the heart of Chestnut Hill for more than 50 years.
The shop operates with one paid staff member and more than 30
hearty, dedicated and committed volunteers. The shop consists
of items for sale such as new and used clothing (men, women &
children), shoes and accessories. Monkey Business accepts consignments
and/or donations. Proceeds from the shop go directly towards grant
making for the Foundation.

Location & Hours
Monkey Business is
located at 8624B Germantown Avenue. Located in the historic shopping
district of Chestnut Hill off the cobblestone streets in the Rex
Avenue parking lot #9 (free parking), next to the French Bakery.
Public transportation is provided by buses and located near the
Chestnut Hill East and West rail lines.
Hours of operation
are Tuesday - Friday from 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Saturday's from
10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday's from 11 a.m - 4 p.m.
Donations can be made
Tuesday - Saturday from 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
